If I were a cat...I'd reserve a good place by the woodstove for the winter...
Welcome to my blog Upstate Girl, (a.k.a Follow Your Bliss Part II), I am an independently published author. This blog is all about writing and the stuff that inspires me to write, the joys and obstacles that come along with the writer's life, and my fascination with the psychology of people and what makes them tick...the human condition, as is...and my love for words, playing with them and making sense of them...and I throw in a few photos from my acre of the world just to make things pretty...sometimes there are things I have no words for, only pictures will do.
*Copyright notice* All photos, writing, and artwork are mine (© Laura J. Wellner), unless otherwise noted, please be a peach, if you'd like to use my work for a project or you just love it and must have it, message me and we'll work out the details...it's simple...JUST ASK, please.

Wonderful Pictures! Here in East Tennessee the leaves are starting to fall and if we have as much snow as we have had rain this summer, lets hope not as much as I like the snow. Also the dogwoods leaves are turning.
Oh, I miss the country, even before I read your blog, Laura. I used to get up there all the time. And if I were a cat I'd never leave the window sill, just to see morning fog and watch the leaves turn red and gold. Catch those Herons landing by the creek. Heaven!
There is truly beauty in your garden. I love the tangle of morning glories - somehow the taking back by the jungle is an affirmation of nature's resilience.
And yes, we're in the slanted light of autumn - kinda early, eh? Seems so to me. Like you, a cat person - and one who loves the Fall best of all.
Your story sounds intriguing. If it's anywhere as good as your blog posts, it should be highly successful.
Love the cat, too...
